I don't know if there is a word to describe how precious he is. Those are great photos. He is so alert and looks like he is ready to play. Did you take the photos?

Congratulations on your beautiful son! I served a mission in NC with Derrick. I am working a slow night at our hotel front desk and googling names from my mission journals--sounds fun and a little bit crazy, huh? Anyway, I remember getting your wedding annoucement, but I haven't seen either of you since. It's so nice to see photos of a happy, healthy marriage and family and know that a dear mission friend is well after so many years! Take care and enjoy that beautiful new boy (I LOVE the spirit in the house when you bring home a new baby!). Love, Jamie (formerly Sister Post)
PS: Derrick, I knew I had the right Swaner family when I saw the kids and how they resemble you!

Congrats. He is adorable and I bet it feels great to have him here. My sister is due in 1 week and she's so uncomfortable. I hope you have fun with this cute little guy. Some times it's really hard to find the time.

How touching it was to see the name you are giving your new son. Tears welled up in my eyes. Of course you all know how I feel about my beloved son Michael, but to learn of his first name means alot also. My uncle Desmond (my mother's brother) came home from WWII and was lost to his family. No one could find him. They think that he received a war wound and got amnesia. When he came off the ship he lost his way home to Providence, Ut. My mother, aunts, and uncles hired detectives to try and find him, but he was never found. Before my mother died she said,"Soon I can see my beloved brother Desmond again." Thanks Derrick & Kelli-This means alot to me.

so so so SWEET! Remember your post where you said it was like having salt on the wound to be the last one to have your baby? Seeing those pictures of how small he is, made me realize how truly big my baby is already. Now THAT is pouring salt on the wound! :(
