Ummmm, Really?

It's snowing.
A LOT!!!
Not the little tiny snow flakes.
But the BIG giant fluffy snow flakes.
Yesterday, it was 83 degrees.
What the heck........

It's Official.

It really is official. There's just no more getting around it. I'm Getting OLD! Here's how I know.
Case 1: The other morning, running on the treadmill, made sure to empty the bladder one last time before I started. Well, I could still feel myself peeing my pants just a little. What's next? Depends?
Case 2: Gave up on the treadmill. Went outside to jumprope. (Seriously, What was I thinking, right? Of course, maybe the whole ability to think things through goes with age too.) So I was jumproping. And then Myah asked what that wet spot was on my pants. Um, ya. I told her it was sweat. But is that any more pleasant than the truth? At that point, I just gave up and let it go. All of it.
Case 3: One of my sweet young women from a few years back, started a blog. I was so excited to read it. But first, I had to request that she make the print bigger. I couldn't quite see the words. They make cute bifocals these days, don't they?
Case 4: The gray hair is coming on strong. That's ok, but why does it have to be all wirey, and poke straight up? Very not attractive.
That's all I've got! But surely, it makes a pretty strong case that the bus to old town isn't cruising on past me this time! Oh well. I guess there's no getting around it. Just as soon as I get Desmond out of diapers, I'll start wearing them! I guess I've got something to look forward to!

Good Times in Jackson Hole

A couple of weeks ago, we made a quick trip up to Jackson Hole with some of my favorite people in the world. We hit Bar J on Friday night, and had a great time. As always, the food was nothing to brag about, but the entertainment just can't be beat!

And since these 2 are leaving on a mission next month, we are so glad that we got to have a little time with them before they head off to their very own deserted island (along with about 5000 other people) for the next 18 months. (More on that later) We're just so happy that they could take a couple days from their crazy busy schedule to hang out with us! Robin and Reece and Rylee also joined in the fun. Good times, I tell yu.

So first thing first, we went to the Bar J. I haven't been there in many, many years. It was fun to take the kiddos. I think that Skyler liked it the most. Maybe it's his age.

Skyler and Grandma, anxiously awaiting the most delicious cowboy dinner ever! Myah, Rylee, and Robin.

Derrick and Tannon, having a little Pow-Wow.

Can you just see the enthusiasm on their faces?
Maybe they've outgrown the whole 'posing with a fake plastic animal' thing.

But why hasn't he?

After a good nights rest in a most excellent hotel condo that we were all able to share for a pretty decent price, we were off to Bubba's for breakfast.

Myah and Rylee, just waiting for our turn.

Grandpa, Reece, and Zac doing the same.

And Derrick and Des....

With full tummies, we strolled the streets of Jackson. After my mom and Tannon and I, snuck into an art festival (by accident, of course), we had to stop and pose with another fake animal.

It looks like the kids have improved on their level of enthusiasm...

But still not as much as these guys! Nothin quite like smooching a fake buffalo!

And we swung by the candy shop to get the kids a caramel apple.
Des was really into the whole caramel apple thing.

Let's take a closer look....

And while the kids ate their apples, this guy was just takin it easy and lookin good.

Good food, great entertainment, awesome people.....who could ask for more?
